    Asalamualaikm dear brothers and sisters. I was going through this site and realised that the Deoband Ulama have been implicated as being salafi/wahabbi. Dear all, as a deobandi myself, I assure you that we follow the sufi tariqah just like you. Please type in to the google search engine “Yasir Qadhi and the deoband” and read the first two sites that come up in the list. The first one is by a deoband brother (salman) and the next one by a Barelvi brother (masud), both of whom I deeply respect and admire. These brothers are not scholars of their particular fields, but as much as I respect them the more deeper of my respect goes to the Barelvi and deoband ulama, who are both Hanafis, Maturdi and mainstream sufis. To see more on this latter point, please go to http://www.sunnipath.com, in the search engine, type in “Barelvi” and you can read on about the tablighi jamaat, likewise, also type in “deobandis” and you shall find a fantastic answer done by Shaykh Gibril of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani tariqa of the so called differences of deoband and barelvi. I hope this shall give some light of truth. As a truth from me to all sufi tariqahs and awliyas, they are on haqq and are an accepted part of the sunnah wa-al jam’ah. Any body who says so otherwise truly does not know that the great ‘ulama of the past, with the likes of Abdul Qadir Jilani, Rumi, Ibn arabi, Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik and Imam Ghazali and others (rahimullah ‘alaihim) were also lovers of tassawuff and pious believers of Allah. Please all, go to the sites above and the truth shall be seen. wa alaaikmsalaam.
